How we score
Every number on Nextrix can be traced back to a published spec and a fixed rule. No hidden weights, no paid placements.
Spec scores
Each category has a few dimensions, such as Display, Battery or Safety. A dimension is built from specs. Each spec is placed on a fixed scale: a value at the bottom of the scale scores 0, a value at the top scores 100, and values beyond the scale are capped. Fixed scales mean a product’s score doesn’t change just because a new product is added.
Specs where lower is better, like weight or power draw, are scored in reverse. Yes/no features score 100 or 0. A dimension score is the weighted average of its specs’ scores.
Unknown specs are left out, not counted as zero. If a maker doesn’t publish a figure, the dimension is scored from the specs that are known, and its coverage is lower. The overall score is the average of the dimensions that could be scored.
Scores reflect specifications, not lab tests. A higher camera score means a higher-resolution or longer-zoom camera setup, not necessarily better photos. Read reviews for real-world quality.

Your personalised verdict
On every comparison you can set how much each dimension matters to you. The verdict uses the Tiebreaker engine: each product’s dimension scores are combined with your importance weights into a weighted score, and the product with the highest one wins.
Tiebreaker also finds the tipping point: the single importance change that would let another product draw level. If a small change flips the result, that’s the assumption worth thinking about. Your settings stay on your device.
Data & sources
- Specs are curated from manufacturers’ published pages. Every product page lists its sources and the date its specs were last checked.
- New products are discovered nightly from Wikidata (open CC0 data). They arrive as drafts and are reviewed before they’re published, so nothing appears unchecked.
- Prices come from structured product data on pages that allow automated access, and from retailers’ official affiliate programmes. Launch prices are labelled as launch prices. Prices change often: always confirm with the seller.
- Respectful collection. Our crawler identifies itself, follows every site’s robots.txt and rate limits, and never scrapes sites whose terms forbid it.
- Insurance comparisons, when available, are for information only. They are not advice or a quote; buy only from the insurer or an IRDAI-registered intermediary.
If you spot an error, the product page lists its sources so you can check the original.
